EFI is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Engineer to bridge Engineering, Quality, Production and Suppliers. You will analyze drawings, manage supplier quotations, and ensure on-time delivery of components. Frequent travel to supplier facilities is required.

Your role supports cost improvements and supplier qualification while maintaining strong relationships and clear technical communication.

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Organization or related field.
• Higher Vocational Training in a technical discipline will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Act as link between Engineering, Quality, Production and Suppliers to ensure requirements are understood.
• Follow up supplier orders, delivery commitments and manufacturing progress.
• Visit suppliers regularly to monitor production status and secure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate recovery plans for critical deliveries.
• Request, analyze and compare quotations for components and materials.
• Select suppliers based on processes, technology and complexity.
• Support PO management and supplier performance reviews.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and technical docs.
• Communicate engineering requirements to suppliers and resolve technical queries.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production for project execution and supply continuity.
• Support supplier development, qualification and cost improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities And Tasks

• Act as the link between Engineering, Quality, Production and Suppliers, ensuring technical requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Follow up on supplier orders, delivery commitments and manufacturing progress.
• Visit suppliers regularly to monitor production status, identify potential risks and secure on-time delivery.

• Select the most suitable suppliers based on manufacturing processes, technology and component complexity.
• Support purchase order management and supplier performance reviews.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Communicate engineering requirements to suppliers and support the resolution of technical queries.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production teams to ensure project execution and supply continuity.
• Support supplier development, qualification and cost improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Organization or a related field.
• Higher Vocational Training (Ciclo formativo) in a technical discipline will also be considered.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Basic understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.
• Interest in supplier management, technical purchasing and supply chain operations.
• Good Excel and MS Office skills.
• English level B2 or above.
• Previous experience is not required; internships or up to 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Production, Quality, Engineering or Supply Chain will be valued.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
