Job summary

Ficosa is seeking a Buyer to collaborate on achieving economic, quality, service and sustainability targets. You will manage all assigned suppliers and lead purchasing activities for projects across the supplier base.

The role emphasizes negotiating with suppliers, leading supplier issues, and delivering savings while adhering to the company’s Purchasing System and OHSE standards. 2+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent local language and English (spoken & written).
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
• Specialized in purchasing, FDS or FPS would be of additional value.

Responsibilities

• Apply defined strategy for all suppliers’ panel and assigned product families: develop, promote, globalize, replace or eliminate suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve business objectives.
• Lead all the assigned suppliers’ problems, following the escalation matrix.
• Manage all assigned project-purchasing activities, following FDS.
• Negotiate and implement technical savings with suppliers.
• Lead sourcing processes to ensure reaching quality, price, timing, sustainability and service objectives.
• When designated to do so, act as “Global Lead Buyer” for the global suppliers, representing Ficosa in front of the supplier as a single voice and coordinated with the buyers of the rest of the Countries.
• Present the sourcing processes in assignments committee for the assigned suppliers.
• Participate in purchasing monthly report processes for all projects and suppliers that are assigned.
• Apply all standard methodologies according to Ficosa's Purchasing System.
• Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
• Participate in the assigned teams, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering Ficosa's values.
• Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.
