Horse Technologies, a division of Horse Powertrain Ltd, seeks a Buyer based in Madrid to execute strategic sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations for cost-efficient and reliable supply. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Strategy.

We require over 5 years in procurement or related roles, strong contracting skills, and full professional fluency in English.

Formación

• 5+ years in procurement or commercial roles, with global/global-exposed responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to translate market insights into effective sourcing strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams.
• Data-driven decision-making with a proactive, global mindset.
• Full professional fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Purpose

As a Buyer, you are responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply within your category. You collaborate with category managers and cross-functional teams to implement global strategies, manage supplier relationships, and lead negotiations, contributing to a strong and competitive supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and continuously develop procurement activities within your assigned category
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and manage ongoing relationships
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (R&D, Manufacturing, Logistics, Strategy, etc.)
• Lead and execute commercial negotiations at a global level
• Support supplier development and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies and business objectives

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Strong expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation within complex, global environments, ensuring competitive and reliable supply bases
• Proven ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into effective, data-driven sourcing strategies that support business objectives
• Solid experience in managing and developing strategic supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and long-term value creation
• Strong business acumen with a clear focus on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery, while balancing commercial and operational priorities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across different departments, supported by excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Analytical and results-oriented professional with over 5 years in procurement or commercial roles, a proactive and global business mindset, and full professional fluency in English, other language will be a plus
• Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to challenge the status quo
• Experience in aluminum production and casting operations will be plus
