Job summary

papernest is seeking a Business Strategy Analyst to support its new energy services business unit in Barcelona. You will build financial models, valuation analyses, and plan commercial offers to foster growth and improve profitability across multiple initiatives.

You will join a dynamic, international team with remote work options (2 days per week) and an emphasis on career development and training. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an analytical-heavy role (Corporate Finance, FP&A, M&A, Strategy)
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics
• Understanding of energy retail market is a plus
• Excellent business sense and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets)
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish is required; French is a plus

We are looking for a Business Strategy Analyst, joining the new business unit to support its growth by providing financial and business analysis.

In this role, you will play a strategic part in the development of multiple businesses. You will be responsible for the construction of financial models and participate in key initiatives to foster growth and improve business performance. You will join a dynamic and close-knit team at the core of papernest overall growth.

Your responsabilities :

• Provide quantitative analyses to steer strategic decisions
• Develop accurate financial models (Business plans, unit economics, cash flow…) and define commercial offers
• Propose concrete, practicable initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive the implementation of the initiatives

Your profile :

• 0-2 years of experience in an analytical-heavy role, preferably in Corporate Finance (TS, Business modeling/valuation, FP&A, M&A…), Consulting (Strategy, Audit…)
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics
• Understanding of energy retail market is a plus
• Excellent business sense and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets)
• High accountability and attention to detail
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish is required, French is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, experience in dashboarding are a plus
