Talent Management Business Partner, EMEA – Banking and Finance Practice Group - 9 Month FTC

We are seeking a Talent Management Business Partner to work collaboratively with the EMEA Banking and Finance Practice Group Leaders (PGLs) and Business Managers (BMs). The role focuses on accelerating practice group and individual lawyer performance and development aligned with the strategic direction, vision, and values of EMEA. You will work closely with the EMEA Director of Talent Management and other Practice Group Talent Management Business Partners for EMEA, providing high-quality business partnering support to lawyers in the EMEA Dispute Resolution Practice Group (the PG).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with PGLs and BMs to understand their strategic needs related to their teams.
  • Coordinate with office-based Talent Management and Recruitment teams to deliver :
  • Team planning and management, including talent pipeline, succession, promotion, capacity review, and utilization.
  • Mobility issues through liaising with Global Mobility Advisory Group and office-based Talent Management.
  • Performance management support, including evaluating performance results with PGLs.
  • Career development, including nomination for EMEA programs, training needs assessment, and coaching sessions.
  • Organizational development initiatives, such as follow-up on BakerPulse surveys and HR advisory support.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, or related fields.
  • Extensive HR / Talent Management experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Proven ability to influence and consult with senior leaders, with strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent coaching, counseling, business acumen, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop knowledge, think holistically, and adapt to various tasks and approaches.
  • Strong integrity and commitment to quality standards.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing strategies, with the ability to build a network of relationships.
