The Team : Morningstar’s corporate functions play an essential role in supporting our company’s strategic initiatives, day-to-day operations, and infrastructure. The People & Culture (Human Resources) team is the steward of Morningstar’s unique culture. We design and deliver the end-to-end programs and experiences that support the entire talent lifecycle. The Role :

We need People & Culture business partners who understand the work we do, and how people collaborate across the company globally, with the goal of providing an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and business success.

This role will be based in our Madrid office and will provide regional support for Spain and Italy.

Job responsibilities :

  • Act as a trusted advisor and consultant for employees and leaders, taking a thoughtful and creative approach to identifying solutions that align with Morningstar’s people philosophies and value proposition.
  • Effectively navigate a global work environment to ensure success in implementing global programs while recognizing regional best practices.
  • Foster a great work environment that allows employees to do their best work by being a business-focused employee advocate, bringing empathy to interactions and focusing on enhancing our employee experience.
  • In close conjunction with the functional business partners, advise and consult with internal clients, providing guidance to managers and employees on talent development and performance management.
  • Effectively manage employee relations cases in line with local labor laws.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure we align local interests and requirements with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues to pro-actively improve and enhance work processes that support Morningstar’s business initiatives and our employee experience.

Qualifications :

  • Progressive HR experience (or business leader experience), with 10 years of experience in areas including talent acquisition, talent management & development, employee rewards and employee relations is desirable.
  • In-depth understanding of HR best practices and relevant labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Spain; knowledge of other locations is a plus.
  • Strong employee relations experience is required, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes with complex cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn senior managers’ confidence and be relied upon as a trusted team member by senior managers and employees; able to build strong teams and relationships.
  • Proven experience in leading effective change management programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, collaborating with HR professionals and business leaders around the world, and proactively managing global initiatives.
  • Project management and / or program development and implementation experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems at a strategic level.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Proficiency in other languages would be advantageous.
