Main Responsibilities:
- The PPH & PMED Med. Operations Medical Head will participate to and execute the Medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the mentioned portfolio and therapeutic area in close partnership with the field team and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy.
- Deep PPH / PMED expertise and product knowledge including competitor data (be the internal and external reference person). Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area.
- Support creation and implementation of medical plans.
- Understand strong business acumen, to develop as a key strategic business partner to the organisation in conjunction with the marketing head.
- Support and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysis.
- Cultivate and maintain good collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders and with external experts.
- Good understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systems and flexibility to execute different strategies according to regions and tender needs.
- Lead omnichannel approach on PPH and PMED franchises for medical education.
- Ability to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguity.
- Drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, commercial, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical development.
- Support roll out of medical governance and medical operations related SOPs and their implementation across vaccine's franchises at local level.
- Be the focal point for vaccines in medical operations and excellence topics: Be knowledgeable about the global / local regulatory SOPs as well as the pharma industry code. Similarly, understand the taxonomy that applies within the company and the sector for categorization.
About you:
Education / Experience / Certification:
- Scientific / basic science or medical degree: MD or equivalent Medical degree preferred, PhD or PharmD (Doctorate level education a plus).
- Industry experience 3y (including medical affairs field or office) and / or clinical experience mandatory, ideally with relevant vaccines experience.
- Good understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE) and data gaps analysis.
- Ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas.
- Excellent communication and influential skills including driving challenging discussions. Develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimise use of relevant channels to suit.
- Implement true scientific engagement journeys by bridging channel disconnect to drive ongoing engagement and grow collaborative opportunities and meaningful scientific exchange.
- Be confident in the use of Omnichannel tools and ability to adapt to new channels.
- Effectively and compliantly share unmet needs of HCPs and their centres with cross-functional teams to inform patient centric strategy.
