Georgeci is seeking a Business Development Specialist to own our payment ecosystem, drive growth and manage strategic partnerships. You will ensure seamless operations, collaborate with finance, compliance, and IT, and stay ahead of industry trends to identify new PSPs and payment methods.

Based in Barcelona, you will develop relations, negotiate terms, and monitor market dynamics to achieve country-specific targets and optimize costs across the payments landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Fluent in English (at least C1); other languages a plus.
• Proven experience in payment management, preferably in financial services.
• Experience in sales or procurement is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payment processes and financial regulations.
• Exceptional networking and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our Payment Systems Team. In this role, you will own our payment ecosystem, drive growth, manage strategic partnerships, and ensure seamless payment operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

• Establish relationships with potential and existing partners aligned with business goals.
• Monitor market trends in the industry and by country.
• Research and analyse payment options used by customers.

Integration and Maintenance of Payment Options

• Maintain existing payment systems and keep developing the company's payment operations to ensure quick growth.
• Be the point of contact for all payment systems providers for all possible issues.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the financial ecosystem and partner-related fees and transactional costs.
• Negotiate better prices and conditions for the company with payment service providers.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for payment operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Manage development, testing, installation, conversion, implementation, problem, and bug solutions for current and future payment solutions.
• Closely monitor analytics, system performance, and other alerting and monitoring tools to ensure high availability of the systems.
• Build and foster an excellent relationship with both business and IT stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, compliance, developers) to ensure seamless PSP onboarding and integration.
• Stay at the forefront of the payments industry by researching market trends, evaluating new payment service providers (PSPs), and identifying novel payment solutions, alternative payment methods (APMs), and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Languages: Fluent in English (at least C1); other languages will be a plus.
