The Role

Job Location : Remote, UK Resident Only.

Department : Sales & Business Development

Position Overview :

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for House Repair Claims will drive growth and expansion of the company's house repair claims services. The role requires a strategic, proactive individual to develop relationships with clients, insurance providers, contractors, and other stakeholders. The BDM will identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and align the company's offerings with market needs while achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct research to identify new opportunities in house repair claims, including emerging trends and competitor activities. Develop strategies to expand the client base.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with insurance companies, homeowners, contractors, and property managers. Serve as the main contact for key clients' house repair needs and claims.
  3. Business Development: Pursue new opportunities through networking, attending events, and leveraging online platforms. Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
  4. Sales & Revenue Generation: Develop a sales pipeline, manage client accounts, and close deals to meet targets. Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors.
  5. Project Coordination: Work with operations and repair teams to ensure timely service delivery. Oversee project management from initiation to completion.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service. Provide feedback to improve offerings, claim processing, and customer experience.
  7. Reporting & Analysis: Track sales performance, prepare reports, and identify areas for improvement. Update senior management on pipeline and trends.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  1. Manage a portfolio of Key Accounts.
  2. Achieve monthly sales targets by acquiring new customers.
  3. Ensure high customer satisfaction and explore upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  4. Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  5. Meet and exceed activity and revenue KPIs.
  6. Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
  7. Monitor market trends and provide competitor feedback.
  8. Identify new business opportunities through lead follow-up and research.
  9. Generate new business by engaging potential clients and understanding their needs.
  10. Manage the sales process to close opportunities.
  11. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  12. Meet activity and revenue targets consistently.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Insurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3-5 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in insurance, construction, or house repair sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with home repair claims, insurance standards, and claims management systems is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills, proficiency in CRM and MS Office, and market analysis capabilities.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience in insurance claims management or house repair services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Problem-solving and customer-first mindset.
