An industry leader in smart charging technology based in Málaga is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales in Spain. This role involves developing partnerships and expanding access to innovative EV charging solutions. Candidates should have experience in sales or business development, be fluent in Spanish and English, and be passionate about sustainability. Regular travel to headquarters in Barcelona or London is required.

Formación

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the EV, energy, or tech sectors.
  • Self-starter with the motivation to generate leads and open new markets.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and use CRM tools effectively.

I'm currently with an industry leader in smart charging technology, which is driving the transition to smarter, cleaner transport and energy across Europe.
Their platform connects EVs, energy providers, and end-users through intelligent charging technology. They are now looking to expand their presence in Spain. As part of this growth phase, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales in the Spanish market.

This role focuses on building relationships, developing partnerships, and expanding access to innovative EV charging solutions through installer networks, distributors, and automotive partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and close commercial partnerships with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, wholesalers, car dealerships, etc.)
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects and own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation
  • Achieve revenue targets for hardware sales and software subscriptions
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across product lines
  • Attend industry events to represent the brand, build awareness, and grow your network
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform local strategy
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to improve products and services
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the EV, energy, or tech sectors
  • Self-starter with the motivation to generate leads and open new markets
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and use CRM tools effectively
  • Passion for sustainability, e-mobility, and the energy transition
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Based in Spain, with occasional travel to Barcelona HQ or London
