Business Development Manager, Amazon Shipping

This is a very exciting opportunity to join a new team in the Amazon Shipping business. We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical, and customer-obsessed individual to join the Business Development team in Spain. You will join the team selling Amazon Shipping services and will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline, detecting opportunities, negotiating with external companies, and closing sales, as well as collecting market segment and customer insights to improve the product and delight Amazon customers.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Customer relationship management: Building and maintaining strong top-level relationships with identified strategic partners
  2. Sales Pipeline Development: Prospect, qualify, and nurture potential clients while maintaining a robust sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets
  3. Negotiation: Prepare and lead price negotiations, build concession matrices, and close deals under optimal terms for both partners
  4. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with operations, product, and tech leaders to build solutions that drive value for new customers and contribute to building a product that fits customer needs
  5. Dive deep: Build compelling pricing propositions, measure performance, conversion rates, account profitability, identify gaps and opportunities, and address them

This role will be based in Madrid (4 Towers district, NOT Getafe) with moderate travel within Spain (max. 5-10%).

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management
  • Strong ownership and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to share insights with senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in setting and achieving goals
  • Native Spanish and professional English proficiency
  • Experience in tailor-made negotiation

Preferred qualifications include experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services, an MBA, experience in the B2C logistics industry, expert use of MS Office Suite, CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com), sales and marketing automation tools, eLearning tools, and experience working with databases.
