Wood is recruiting for a BD Lead to join its power & industrial business focusing on a comprehensive range of engineering and project management services within Operations Americas. This opportunity provides a hybrid work attachment at the Madrid office.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced BD Lead to participate in our G&D department with a broad range of program design skills who is ready to step up to collaborate actively in steam generation projects.

The typical BD Lead scopes are:

  • Assisting the BD Manager to ensure process adherence to SD Procedures and Corporate Governance requirements.
  • Arranging and hosting Lead Review Meetings and ensuring notes and actions are circulated in a clear and timely way.
  • Microsoft CRM Dynamics administration for the BU which may include booking won opportunities, adding customers and competitors, providing superuser support (generating dashboards, scheduling reports), training new users in the system, and monitoring the accuracy of data held in Microsoft CRM. Similar activities to be performed in Salesforce, if applicable.
  • Coordinating win plan reviews as required by the BU.
  • Participating in and supporting win plans and account plan development and reviews relevant to the BU.
  • Providing support to the strategy function in terms of market research, development of strategy, and competitor trends.
  • Providing a level of proposals support, including commercial support, if required by the BU.
  • Forecasting and tracking client account metrics.
  • Coordinating with other P&I members working on the same account to ensure consistent service.
  • Selling and promoting possible licensee partners in line with strategy.
  • Keeping contact and assisting licensees in market and prospects follow-up.
  • Developing a sales strategy with licensees when a combined effort provides opportunities for both parties.
  • Negotiating, closing, and getting approvals according to DOA for new licensee contracts.
  • Supporting end customers for licensee bidding when required.
