For the Ardena Business Unit based in Oss, we are looking for a

Business Controller

YOUR ROLE

In this role, you will act as a key financial partner to management across two business units, working closely with business process owners to improve and harmonize workflows. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Accounting Manager Netherlands and the Corporate Finance team to ensure compliance and alignment with global financial strategies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Partnering : Providing financial insights and business intelligence to support decision-making and improve business performance. Deliver local data for monthly group business reporting.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting : Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Analysing variances between actuals, budgets, prior periods, and forecasts. Analyse and investigate trends and anomalies for your business units in forward-looking metrics originating from different sources.
  • Cash Flow Management : Monitoring and optimizing cash flow in line with group targets. Assisting with credit control where necessary. Help safeguard normal financial terms in local contracts.
  • Internal Controls : Implementing and enforcing internal controls, ensuring adherence to group policies and system usage. Collaborating with business process owners to align procedures. Conducting or leading monthly revenue recognition controls.
  • Cost Management : Identifying and driving cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies to improve profitability.
  • Inventory Control : Reconciling inventory data and working closely with the supply chain team to optimize stock levels, control cash outflows, improve data quality, and enhance procurement processes.
  • Project Accounting : Supporting the implementation of robust project accounting procedures in collaboration with Corporate Finance. Providing insights to improve project profitability. Become a local champion for the key users.
  • Process improvement : In close collaboration with Corporate Finance, contributing to the enhancement of cross-functional systems and procedures, improving data integrity and local business intelligence.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or related
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an international organization
  • Experienced with ERP systems (MS Business Central is a plus)
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive and hands-on mentality, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial managers.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
