Van Hessen in La Puebla de Montalbán is seeking a highly analytical Business Controller to drive financial performance and operational efficiency across the business. You will monitor performance, analyse data, and support robust control processes.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will collaborate with Finance, Production, Commercial, IT and HR to implement improvements and ensure high-quality management reporting for headquarters in the Netherlands.

Formación

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience in Business Control / Finance Analysis in manufacturing.
• Fluent Spanish and strong English desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Producing and analysing operational and financial performance reports.
• Monitoring production yields, productivity, efficiency and cost trends.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reports covering results, costs, yields and budget variances.
• Supporting invoice management and payment approval processes.
• Ensuring robust traceability and operational control measures are maintained.
• Providing regular reporting to headquarters in the Netherlands.
• Identifying opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes.
• Collecting, consolidating and managing key financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
• Partnering with Finance, Production, Commercial, IT, and HR teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Business Controller to join our team in La Puebla de Montalbán. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across the business.

As Business Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring business performance, analysing operational and financial data, and supporting the implementation of effective control processes.

Responsibilities include:

About you

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in Business Control, Finance Analysis, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Fluent Spanish essential and advanced English level desirable
• Experience preparing management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, large data analysis, and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset
