OCX in Madrid seeks a Business Affairs Manager to oversee contracts, rights management, compliance, and commercial risk for projects across OP Spain. You will negotiate terms, draft and review contracts, manage usage rights, and ensure legal and commercial compliance with clients and partners.

Formación

• Experience in Business Affairs, Production Legal, or a similar role within a creative, advertising, media, or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of contracting, rights management, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interpret legal language and clearly explain its implications to non-legal stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Collaborative mindset and confidence working with creative, production, finance, and leadership teams.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including talent, freelancer, vendor, licensing, and production agreements.
• Advise producers and project leads on contractual, commercial, and legal implications throughout project scoping and delivery.
• Ensure effective management of rights, usage terms, renewals, and global asset and talent clearances.
• Manage music licensing and ensure compliance with usage restrictions, fees, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with Finance on budget implications, insurance requirements, and risk assessments.
• Support freelance talent onboarding, contracting, and compliance processes.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, rights, renewals, and legal documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Provide guidance on procurement processes, NDAs, data privacy, and commercial best practices.
• Identify and mitigate risks to support efficient and successful project delivery.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Business Affairs Manager to oversee contracts, rights management, compliance, and commercial risk across OP Spain. This role ensures that all projects are delivered with the appropriate legal, financial, and contractual frameworks in place, protecting both the business and our clients.

Working closely with producers, creative teams, finance, and senior leadership, you will negotiate terms, draft and review contracts, manage usage rights, and ensure legal and commercial compliance.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen who is comfortable managing complex agreements in a fast-paced, dynamic creative environment.
