Overview

Location: REVEAL GENOMICS (C / Llacuna, 164, Barcelona (Spain) / Work from home)

Proposed Start Time : Immediate start

We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatician to join REVEAL GENOMICS, S.L. This role will analyze genomic data to develop tests that improve the lives of cancer patients. The candidate will plan, analyze, and interpret genomic experiments using statistical models, machine learning, and AI tools, leveraging AWS for scalable genomic data analysis and data management using REVEAL GENOMICS' databases. The successful applicant should be able to work independently on multiple projects.

The candidate will join a highly motivated team committed to high-impact work in the precision medicine field. The role involves contributing to challenging projects that may result in genomic tools for clinical practice worldwide.

Note: EU citizens will be requested a registration certificate in Spain. Non-EU residents must hold a valid residence and work permit. Educational qualifications must be accredited or recognized by the Ministry of Education.

Responsibilities

• Analyze genomic data to develop tests for cancer patients.
• Plan, analyze, and interpret genomic experiments using statistical models, machine learning, and AI tools.
• Leverage AWS cloud computing for scalable and efficient genomic data analysis.
• Manage and organize data using REVEAL GENOMICS databases.
• Work independently and on multiple projects within a motivated team.

Qualifications

• Required degree: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in applying statistical models and machine learning to analyze and interpret complex genomic data.
• Experience in RNA-seq analysis.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale genomic datasets.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biotech product development.
• Technical skills: Proficient in R and Python; experience with multivariable statistics; experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Competences: Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment; good academic writing and presentation skills.
• Languages: English and Spanish.
