Job Title : Big Data Development Engineer

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer with specialized knowledge in IFRS 15 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems and processes using Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, and GCP (cloud storage, dataproc, cloud function) that ensure compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. This role requires a strong understanding of both data engineering principles and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• System Development : Design and develop software solutions that facilitate accurate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15.
• Technology : Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, GCP (cloud storage, dataproc, cloud function), Linux, Git, and Jenkins as CICD.
• Process Implementation : Establish and implement processes to ensure ongoing adherence to IFRS 15 standards across all relevant projects.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to integrate IFRS 15 requirements into existing systems and workflows.
• Testing and Documentation.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with changes in IFRS 15 standards and proactively adjust systems and processes to maintain compliance.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in system development with a focus on financial reporting standards, preferably IFRS 15.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in software development, including experience with relevant programming languages and tools (Python, Spark, Scala, MySQL 8.0).
• Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
