Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer with expertise in IFRS 15 to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement systems and processes using Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, and GCP (cloud storage, Dataproc, Cloud Functions) to ensure compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• System Development : Design and develop software solutions that facilitate accurate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15.
• Technology : Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, GCP (cloud storage, Dataproc, Cloud Functions), Linux, Git, Jenkins (CI/CD).
• Process Implementation : Establish and implement processes to ensure ongoing adherence to IFRS 15 standards across relevant projects.
• Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to integrate IFRS 15 requirements into existing systems and workflows.
• Testing and Documentation.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with IFRS 15 standards and proactively adjust systems and processes to maintain compliance.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.
• Experience : Minimum 3 years in system development focusing on financial reporting standards, preferably IFRS 15.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in software development with relevant programming languages and tools (Python, Spark, Scala, MySQL 8.0).
• Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly.
• Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
