ALTEN is looking for a

Bid Manager

to lead strategic tendering activities in the

IT sector for EU institutions.

In this role, you will support the selection of relevant tenders, define and implement bidding strategies, and coordinate the end-to-end process for large-scale projects. You will manage proposal preparation with internal teams and external partners, review key technical content, monitor progress via KPIs, and report directly to the Director of EU Institutions management.

We’re looking for someone with strong expertise in strategic planning, project and proposal management, deep knowledge of the IT sector, and experience working in an international environment. A detail-oriented, results-driven approach and familiarity with EU procurement standards are essential.

What will you be doing? Reporting to the Director of EU Institutions and the Development Director for IT Enterprise Services, you will : Identify and assess suitable IT services tenders from EU Institutions Define optimal bidding strategies per opportunity Create and implement structured bid plans Coordinate the full bidding process for large tenders Lead the preparation of technical proposals with internal and external stakeholders Review and refine key technical content Track and report KPIs to monitor bid progress and success Provide regular updates and insights to senior management

Your profile : 15+ years of experience in the IT sector 5+ years of experience managing tenders with EU institutions Proven track record of successfully delivering large EU tenders with international partners and consortia Excellent communication, planning, and proposal management skills Professional level of English (spoken and written) Experience working in an international environment Familiarity with EU procurement standards Strong attention to detail and results-driven mindset
