Job Purpose Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in both Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing (BI / DWH) and Power BI platform management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based Data Products that meet the organization's data analytics needs, with a strong focus on optimizing and managing Power BI as a platform.

Key Responsibilities :

• Take end-to-end responsibility for new data products, collaborating with functional experts to gather requirements, define KPIs, and build and deploy data products on our central data platform.
• Highly skilled in various data modelling techniques and lakehouse architecture, experience with bi-temporal modelling is a plus.
• Monitor and enhance Power BI performance through effective capacity management and performance tuning techniques, oversee platform management to ensure optimal operation and responsiveness.
• Implement and manage policies around user permissions, workspaces, gateways, administration, and privacy within Power BI.
• Design and implement composite data models to ensure data consistency, interoperability, and usability across reporting domains.
• Develop and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations to meet complex business requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in DAX and SQL for data modeling, transformation, and manipulation within Power BI.
• Support colleagues in the Data Chapter and Management & Product Teams with their reporting needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics, Power BI, and related technologies.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on advanced Power BI reporting tools and techniques.
• Work with various data sources and technologies including Databricks, Kafka, ADF and dbt.
• Ensure the security and reliability of the platform by implementing best practices for data governance, data security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Data Products, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, technical & user guides.
• DevOps way of working, build it, own it, maintain it.

What we expect from you :

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Data Science.
• 8+ years of experience in Business intelligence, data warehousing & data modelling.
• 5+ years of experience with Power BI platform management.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably with Azure.
• Demonstrated expertise in data modeling techniques and building highly robust and scalable analytical solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX and SQL, capable of working with complex queries.
• Expertise in data modelling techniques.
• Proficiency in collaboration tools such as GitHub for version control.
• Familiar with the agile way of working.
• Experience with advanced composite data modeling is a plus.
• Experience with Insurance domain is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and fluency with the English language.
