Job Description

What you’ll do

We are seeking an experienced Beverage Director to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Beverage Director will oversee all Food & Beverage operations within the hotel. The role involves ensuring service quality aligns with the SLS brand by fostering a team culture where members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional growth.

1. Manage beverage control including inventory, bar pars, cost controls, beverage potential analysis, and sales analysis.
2. Negotiate with suppliers and implement brand contracts.
3. Manage national and international beverage and mixology events.
4. Implement beverage policies and procedures across the property.
5. Train outlet teams on liquor control policies and procedures.
6. Monitor adherence to liquor control policies.
7. Ensure service standards according to SOPs are maintained.
8. Oversee beverage preparation and presentation to meet standards.
9. Maintain regular communication within restaurants and bars.
10. Ensure high-quality beverage products are presented effectively.
11. Assist the Director of Food and Beverage with administrative tasks, reports, and strategic planning.
12. Facilitate new hire orientation and training to ensure successful performance.
13. Focus approximately 60% of work on operational management.

Qualifications

What we are looking for...

• Degree in Hospitality or Bars Management.
• Minimum 4 years of management experience in high-volume hotel or bar beverage operations.
• Knowledge of the local market is a plus.

Proven leadership skills, high energy, motivation, and alignment with company values. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
