Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for an experienced Beverage Director to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Beverage Director directs the operations of all the Food & Beverage outlets within the hotel. The Beverage Director ensures the hotel service aligns with the SLS brand by fostering a team culture where members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional development.

1. Manage beverage control including inventory, bar pars, cost controls, beverage potentials, sales analysis for beverages, issues & returns.
2. Negotiate with suppliers and implement brand contracts.
3. Manage national and international events related to beverages and mixology.
4. Implement beverage policies and procedures throughout the property.
5. Train outlet teams on liquor control policies and procedures.
6. Monitor adherence to liquor control policies and procedures.
7. Ensure service standards according to SOPs are followed.
8. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages to meet standards.
9. Maintain regular communication in all restaurants and bars.
10. Ensure beverage products are of high quality and well-presented.
11. Support administrative tasks, including reports and strategic planning.
12. Facilitate onboarding and training for new hires.
13. Focus approximately 60% of work on operational aspects of the department.

Qualifications

What we are looking for...

• Degree with emphasis in Hospitality / Bars management.
• At least 4 years experience in high-volume beverage operations within hotels or bars in a management role.
• Knowledge of the local market is a plus.

Proven leadership skills with high energy and motivation, aligned with company values. Proficiency in computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Ability to multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and pay high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
