Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella, part of Fuerte Group Hotels, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Commis Chef in Marbella, Spain. You will support chefs, manage mise en place, and help with buffet presentations while upholding strict food safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in a similar hotel setting, a Vocational Degree in Cooking and Gastronomy, and a valid Food Handler Certificate. Basic English plus fluent Spanish is advantageous for the team.

Formación

• At least 1 year of experience as Kitchen Assistant or Commis Chef in 4-star or higher hotels.
• Vocational Degree in Cooking and Gastronomy or equivalent culinary training.
• Food Handler Certificate (Carné de Manipulador de Alimentos).
• Basic English communication skills, with fluent Spanish as a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparation and assembly of menu dishes ensuring quality.
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, proteins, and ingredients for garnishes.
• Prepare simple dishes following technical recipe cards and ensure plating accuracy.
• Set up, maintain, and break down buffet displays for live service.
• Receive and store supplies, maintain cold chain, and organize storage areas.
• Keep hygiene standards, clean workstations and report equipment issues.
