A global leisure wholesaler is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Spain to expand their sales team. The role requires generating new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships in Southern European markets, especially France. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in travel distribution, strong sales capabilities, and fluent French and English. This position comes with a permanent full-time contract and an attractive salary based on experience.

We focus on directly contracted product to offer our clients a unique portfolio of hotels at market leading rates.

We are now recruiting for a Business Development Manager located in Spain to expand our Sales Team.

The main aspect of the role will be to generate new business opportunities and grow our database of active accounts in the Southern Europe Markets, with strong focus in France.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and develop the assigned client portfolio, ensuring to maintain and increase the sales performance.
  • Work proactively with clients to build long-term relationships and improve their production, e.g. conference calls, sales calls, presentations, attendance to trade-shows.
  • Proactively review business performance and optimize the accounts.
  • Generate new leads and convert them into new clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maximise opportunities and goals accomplishment.
  • Develop strategic sales planning (short, medium and long term).
  • Manage available tools (Salesforce CRM system, PowerBI) to track clients’ information, analyse trends and maximise opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the travel distribution industry, ideally online B2B travel distribution.
  • Well educated to bachelor standard or equivalent with account management experience.
  • Great understanding of the tourism industry and distribution.
  • Strong knowledge and well-established relationships with key players in Southern EU Markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving mindset.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Passionate about sales and driving performance.
  • Ability to travel.
  • French native speaker level.
  • Proficient level in English, both spoken and written. Other European languages a plus.
