So you’re in Barcelona… but you don’t know anybody, let alone the DJ. So how are you going to get into the city’s best nightclubs? (…without queuing 2 hours for the privilege?).

The Barcelona NightCard is the traveller’s elegant and cost-effective way of solving this problem. For just €10 you can enter 15 of the hottest spots in Barcelona, including the legendary Opium and Pacha, as well as City Hall, Bling Bling, Otto Zutz and many more.

Most Barcelona nightclubs charge around €15-20 entry fee for any given party, but you can visit multiple clubs over two nights for free, once you’ve made your initial purchase.

How Does It Work?

The Barcelona NightCard is not a card at all, but a digital pass! You simply purchase it via the official vendor BCNenjoy website, then download the app onto your phone to get your pass.

The €10 pass is valid for the two days you selected when making your purchase (although a 7-day card is also available, for just €20), and you should present it to the doorstaff of the club you wish to enter. Depending on the club, and when you arrive, you may be able to enter right away, or else you will be instructed to join the guestlist queue.

Important. The Barcelona NightCard is endorsed by the Barcelona Tourist Board, and the easiest way for travellers to get on the guestlist, but club entry is never 100% guaranteed. You may need to produce ID if you look young, or the bouncers may decide to exclude you if you don’t conform to the club’s dress code (if you avoid wearing shorts and flipflops this shouldn’t be a problem!), or if they believe you are too drunk. Additionally, for special parties like New Year’s Eve, or certain big events, you may still be required to pay entrance.

My Advice

While free entry to the clubs is available until 2am, I’d strongly advise arriving before 1am, in case there’s a queue, or there’s a problem with the doorstaff. Bouncers in Spain are not as professional as the UK or USA, for example, but tend to be much easier to deal with when the club isn’t full yet.

The hardest clubs to get into are usually the best ones as well, luckily Opium and Pacha are both next to each other on the Port Olimpic marina, so if there’s an issue with one you can quickly change plans and head to the other.
