We are hiring immediately for full-time BAKER positions.

Address: Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango, CO 81301.

Requirement: No prior experience required.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards, and using proper equipment.
• Assists with completing production records, including waste tracking, used/unused portions, and product shortages; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
• Handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations during preparation and service.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keeps display equipment clean and debris-free.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, customer-service manner. Relays relevant concerns to supervisors.
• Maintains the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Checks to ensure all food is presented, served, and displayed per standards.
• Follows sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Completes shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner per department standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
