SANTANDER DIGITAL SERVICES is looking for a DR Cloud Platform Engineer, based mainly in MADRID.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Backup & DR Cloud Platform Engineer, your mission will be to help build our products and services around the cloud platform. Your responsibilities include providing design input, collaborating with other teams and analysts on project milestones, analyzing weaknesses, and recommending system improvements.

We need someone like you to assist in various areas:

• Design and implement backup services processes across major public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Produce detailed project documentation, manage schedules, resources, and monitor project status.
• Manage issues and risks, ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Develop detailed reports and analyses for decision-making by executives and business leaders.
• Collaborate closely with other teams to achieve shared goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Provide engineering expertise in designing public cloud architectures, optimizing solutions for performance, scalability, and security.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps engineer in a public cloud environment.
• Fluent in spoken English.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Required tools: Jira, Confluence, Service Now.
• Operative systems: Unix, Windows.
• Public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS.
• Programming languages: Python, Shell scripting, HCL (Terraform).
• Recommended skills: Automation processes (SDK & CLI), Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban), Backup and Data Protection knowledge.
