A leading technology firm in data integration is looking for a Backend Software Engineer specialized in Data Integration. The role involves developing APIs, managing data ingestion, and optimizing data integration processes. Ideal candidates should have over 5 years of experience with Python and SQL, and experience in cloud infrastructure. This is a fully remote position based in Spain.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data integration or a similar role.

Job Description

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer specialized in Data Integration to strengthen our team. You will be responsible for integrating, preparing, and processing data from multiple sources. Your role will include the development of connectors, APIs, and queue management for high-volume data processing.

QAD Process Intelligence is a division of the QAD Group specializing in Process Mining and Agentic AI. This position is part of a strategic initiative to transform data analysis and artificial intelligence for the benefit of our clients.

The role is a fully remote from Spain.

What you will do :

  • Develop robust and optimized APIs in Python
  • Ensure real-time data ingestion and queue management (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
  • Manage large-scale SQL databases
  • Optimize integration processes for maximum performance
  • Contribute to the architecture of cloud-based solutions (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Design, develop, and maintain Airflow DAGs to orchestrate data workflows

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python and integration frameworks
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases
  • Proven experience with queue management and real-time ingestion
  • Demonstrated expertise in backend API development
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience designing and maintaining data orchestration workflows using Airflow
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
