Albertine is hiring a backend-focused engineer to own features end-to-end for a multi-tenant TypeScript API platform powering luxury concierge experiences. You’ll shape API contracts, implement services, and connect integrations across payments, messaging, and partners.

You’ll work near the domain with real business logic and edge cases, advocating better models and scalable architecture, while embracing AI-assisted development and async collaboration in a remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend services, ideally with TypeScript/Node.
• Strong product instincts and ability to push back on requirements.
• Solid API design judgment including REST, versioning, and pagination.
• Relational database depth with schema design and migrations.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and auth/auditability.
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and webhooks.

Responsabilités

• Ship TypeScript backend work across the Hono API with OpenAPI-first contracts.
• Design and evolve API contracts for web, iOS, Android, and partners.
• Build scalable platform capabilities for per-tenant configuration and isolation.
• Model data in Postgres and migrate from legacy stores while preserving consistency.
• Design and operate background jobs and asynchronous workflows.
• Build and own integrations with payments, identity, messaging, and partners.
• Ensure pagination, performance, observability, and reliable SLOs.
• Contribute frontend work when needed in existing React/TypeScript apps.
