We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to contribute to the development and global expansion of a product focused on spatial data and risk analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code to meet functional requirements.
• Develop APIs and backend features ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
• Integrate with cloud-based storage systems like databases and object storage.
• Write automated tests and contribute to infrastructure templates.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions, estimations, and product planning.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of experience in backend development with Python and APIs.
• Experience with microservices and serverless architectures.
• Strong skills in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of async programming and message queues.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, and batch / ETL processing.
• Familiarity with Postgres, DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Hands-on with Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Background in geospatial projects.
