N26 is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our Customers Identity segment in Barcelona, Spain. You will develop customer identity verification products that ensure security and enhance user experience. The role promotes collaboration in a cross-functional team and encourages embracing the latest technologies.

Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining software, managing project priorities, and working with a diverse team. Candidates should possess experience in Java or Kotlin, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a motivation for feedback.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented engineer to join our Customers Identity segment, responsible for developing customer identity verification products that are frictionless to users, flexible and secure, ensuring the authenticity of our customers as we grow whilst maintaining a high level of trust with regulators.

Our cross‑functional teams are passionate about collaboration and sharing knowledge, as well as working with a high degree of autonomy. As a Backend Engineer at N26, you will be encouraged to embrace the latest technological updates and given a platform to work on complex, interesting problems on a daily basis.

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment
• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team who enjoy knowledge sharing sessions

Qualifications

• Experience in developing software using Java or Kotlin
• The ability to work independently
