Mentor Talent Acquisition is seeking a Backend Engineer in Vienna to design, build and scale backend services using Python. You will work on API development, data pipelines and AI-powered product features, collaborating with product and frontend teams in a cross‑functional setup.

The role emphasizes strong backend fundamentals with potential growth into data engineering and AI product work, supported by an international team and modern tech stack.

Formación

• Strong Python programming and backend development experience.
• Experience building and operating production software.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software principles.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with AWS data services is a plus.
• Experience designing or consuming REST APIs and working with Git and CI/CD.
• Analytical problem-solving and ability to take ownership of work.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Develop new product features and reusable backend architectures.
• Build reliable APIs, integrations and business logic.
• Improve system performance, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve the platform.
• Participate in architecture discussions and tech decisions.
• Expose system capabilities through secure interfaces.
• Build production-ready features powered by LLMs and integrate into products.
