Mentor Talent Acquisition is seeking a Backend Engineer in Vienna to connect its backend and data infrastructure with LLM-powered features. This role emphasizes scalable Python services, APIs, and strong data engineering foundations.

You will collaborate with product and frontend teams while growing into data engineering over time. The position offers a remote-friendly setup with quarterly office visits in Vienna, competitive compensation and equity opportunities.

Formación

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building and operating production software.
• Good understanding of OOP and software design.
• Solid SQL knowledge and AWS experience.
• Experience designing or consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Develop new product features and reusable backend architectures.
• Build reliable APIs, integrations and business logic.
• Improve system performance, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Identify technical bottlenecks and improve the platform.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Expose interfaces for internal and external use.
• Build production-ready features powered by LLMs.
• Integrate LLMs into workflows and data systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend and other engineers.
