About the Role

TripleTen AI is a team of researchers, developers, and designers dedicated to rethinking and reinventing how people learn with AI. We explore advancements in AI and educational science, designing tools we actively deliver to students.

As a systems-focused Backend Developer, you'll work closely with the TripleTen team to build a robust infrastructure powering our AI-driven learning platform. You'll develop scalable backend solutions that ensure seamless user experiences, emphasizing fast iteration and continuous improvement.

We believe strong backend systems are the foundation of effective AI-powered learning. That's why we constantly refine our architecture, balancing innovation with stability and performance to support new features and enhance the learning experience.

What You Will Do

1. Develop the technical infrastructure for TripleTen AI features and agentic systems, implementing backend logic for instant AI help, repetition mechanics, skills profile, and more.
2. Develop and maintain server-side applications using Python.
3. Participate in product development from clarifying requirements to delivering features to real users.
4. Establish and manage workflows that enable quick delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
5. Work in a cross-functional team with researchers, designers, developers, and product managers.
6. Contribute ideas and participate in strategic discussions.

Requirements: What We Need

• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, TypeScript, Golang.
• Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Practical experience applying DDD and Clean Architecture in real projects.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-documented code.
• Experience with unit and integration testing; familiarity with TDD is a plus.
• Passion for education and AI, proactivity, and excitement about implementing ideas.
• Desire to learn every day.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Data Engineering to help manage data from multiple backend systems for a more personalized student experience.
• Frontend experience, as our team of generalists sometimes works on frontend tasks.
