We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Backend Developer to join our innovative team. As a Trainee Backend Developer, you will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining backend solutions for our applications. You will work in an agile environment, learning and collaborating with experienced developers to implement systems that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, support their squad, and embrace a T-shaped and cross-functional mindset, following agile methodologies and the Allianz Way of working.
What You Do
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
- Support the implementation of features and functionality based on business requirements.
- Learn and contribute to optimizing application performance and ensuring scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code under guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and learn from constructive feedback.
- Help troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth operation of backend systems.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of the Java programming language and familiarity with the Spring framework (Boot, Security, Core, MVC, Cloud, Cache) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL or Postgres.
- Interest in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins; code quality tools are a plus.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit is a plus.
- Basic understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
