Mediktor is looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our Agile team in charge of the continuous improvements of our backend as well as the development and support of our different customer integrations.

About us :

Mediktor has developed an artificial intelligence based medical assistant capable of simulating a conversation with a real doctor. This can lead to enormous cost savings, process optimization and waiting time reduction in many healthcare use cases, for example in triage for emergency departments or medical call centers.

Our technology uses natural language recognition, multiple types of prediction models, and can be integrated into almost any type of solution thanks to our UI libraries and our wide range of API methods and capabilities.

The software has been clinically validated with a success rate of up to 91.3% in trials with real patients.

About the team :

• You will be integrated in a team that is moving towards Agility. As a startup company, we are fast-learners but still adapting some of the processes so you can help us in the shaping of our Scrum framework;

improving our working flows & CICD. You will be part of our rituals :

daily meetings, Sprint planning, Spikes, Retros, refinements, regular brainstorming sessions and after-work beers once per month! What you will be doing :

You will be introduced to our development team and you will be sitting a lot with our backend team to deep-dive into our backend code. You will also receive a Mediktor welcome pack to start feeling the vibes.

• You will have a better knowledge of the team and our rituals (if you are lucky, you will experience our after-work activities) and you will have given us feedback via your first Sprint retrospective;

we are an open team that value different opinions to improve! Your knowledge of our backend will still be far from ideal but you will already know what an evaluation is and how we are improving access to health care.

You will have delivered several versions of our corporate app in Production improving small features. You will have a better knowledge of our backend functionalities and the different services offered to our interfaces (Android, iOS, web, Alexa, Telegram) and customers. You will have had the chance to meet 1 :

1 with your teammates to share experiences.

And after three months , you will be able to :

• Maintain and further improve the API used by our interfaces and numerous customers;
• Maintain and further improve our backoffice;
• Help our customers in the integration of our products in their platforms;
• Be part of the team and improve your knowledge from other teammates;
• Contribute to build clean code with proper unit tests to keep code optimised;
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming;
• Compose and deliver technical documentation;
• Work with our PO and BA in our backoffice redesign and improvement;
• Keep up with technological advances to optimise our software;
• Communicate effectively of new technology trends with your team;

What you need to have :

• Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering;
• Minimum experience :

5 years in Java development doing similar functions as specified in the job description

• Minimum experience :

3 years defining software architecture;

• Proven experience in Java + Spring & API creation;
• Framework Spring & Spring Boot;
• Any ORM;
• Maven;
• High concurrency / multithreading & high availability programming;
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs design, implementation and integration, such as OpenAPI Specification and Swagger;
• Knowledge of SW architecture & best practices;
• Knowledge in automated testing and QA procedures;
• Comfortable working with source control programs such as Git, Subversion etc.;

specifically with Jenkins and AWS;

• Experience in Docker and container technologies;
• Experience in Microservices;
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI);
