We’re hiring a Backend Developer with strong experience in Go to design and implement the backend services that power our infrastructure and product stack. You’ll join a team that values efficiency, scalability, and clean, modular architecture. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving technical challenges in distributed systems and production-grade services.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Barcelona office.

First 90 Days

• 30 days : Get familiar with our Go-based services, infrastructure, and delivery pipeline. Meet your squad and key stakeholders.
• 60 days – Actively contribute to key product initiatives and features in development. Demonstrate increasing ownership and impact within the engineering team. Begin contributing meaningful code to the main product codebase.
• 90 days – Take full ownership of feature delivery, from planning to release. Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to quality and best practices. Participate in architectural discussions and help shape technical direction.

Meet the Team

You’ll report to an Engineering Team Leader and join a high-performing backend team based in Barcelona. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, DevOps specialists, and product managers. The team operates with a strong DevOps culture and values autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Reliable, scalable, and well-documented backend services delivered on time

Performance optimizations and contributions to platform scalability

Active participation in design reviews and team rituals

Contribution to incident response, root cause analysis, and system hardening

Skills You’ll Gain

Deep expertise in Go, microservices, and distributed system architecture

Hands-on experience with observability, CI / CD pipelines, and container orchestration

Exposure to real-world challenges in scalability, resilience, and system design

Collaboration across cross-functional product and infrastructure teams

Snapshot of Your Day-to-Day

You’ll build, extend, and maintain high-performance services using Go, review pull requests, contribute to architecture discussions, and troubleshoot production issues. You’ll also write tests, monitor metrics, and support the lifecycle of features from design to release.

Qualifications

Professional experience developing backend services in Go

Understanding of microservices architecture and REST / gRPC API design

Familiarity with containers, CI / CD, and cloud environments

Solid experience with SQL Server, Redis, and asynchronous messaging systems

Comfortable writing automated tests and participating in code reviews

Fluent in English ; Spanish fluency is a plus

Tech Stack You’ll Work With

Languages : Primarily Go, with occasional use of Python or Bash for scripting tasks.

Frameworks / Tools : Go, REST, goroutines and channels. Familiarity with gRPC or protobuf is a plus.

Infrastructure : Microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux environments, and CI / CD pipelines.

Datastores & Messaging : SQL Server, Redis, and message queues such as RabbitMQ or SQS (or similar technologies).

Cloud Platforms : Experience with either AWS or Azure is sufficient.

Monitoring : Datadog or comparable monitoring tools.
