ABOUT THE JOB

As a Back End Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that enables software development skills and capabilities across a whole domain. Together with your team, you will own the software products from conception to operation. Being an enthusiast in software engineering and craftsmanship, with a strong DevSecOps mindset, and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills, you will support your team in delivering the best answers to our customers’ needs and taking full responsibility for its applications, from design to operation.

You will strive for a high degree of automation, clean architectures, and high quality with a customer-centric mindset. You are able to select the right tools for the right jobs and thus solve the given business and technical problems efficiently. You show a commercial mentality, focusing on solving business problems in the best way. You will work in a cloud environment, especially AWS, and develop resilient and high-performing cloud-native applications. You have a good understanding of the AWS toolbox, leveraging AWS services and cloud design patterns in a micro-service landscape. You can tackle the whole cycle of designing, building, testing, and deploying software and contribute to increasing automation. You are able to verbalize your thoughts and ideas and take the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes. Together with the domain’s Practice teams and the Group Enabler teams, you will research, evaluate, and test new approaches, processes, and tools and help teams use them effectively.

You love to learn and acquire new skills and keep up to date with the latest developments in your focus areas.

ABOUT YOU:

  1. You have a completed technical degree (e.g., computer science, business informatics) or a comparable qualification.
  2. You have experience in the further development of products and services and in the implementation of customer requirements.
  3. You have very good knowledge of .Net C# as well as relevant frameworks and concepts, such as .Net Core, REST, MVC, and Microservices.
  4. You have good knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases.
  5. You feel confident in using Visual Studio and NUnit & Mocking frameworks (e.g., Moq) and have experience in creating modern ASP.NET applications.
  6. You know about GitLab and AWS CodePipeline (CloudFormation).
  7. You have a very good command of English (written and spoken).
  8. You are familiar with Agile software development and DevOps and have worked with these before.
  9. You are a team player and love to find solutions for complex problems collaboratively.
  10. You have first experiences and knowledge of agile ways of working (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and want to take responsibility for steadily improving the work processes and interactions within the team.
