adesso Spain is seeking a Backend Developer / DBA to join our international team and contribute to a mission-critical data platform processing millions of transactions daily.

You’ll design and optimize backend solutions with Java/Spring Boot, manage SQL-heavy workloads (PostgreSQL/AWS Aurora), and work on a cloud-native platform on AWS. The role involves collaboration with global teams and occasional travel to Germany.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend development with Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS) and DevOps tools.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban.
• Excellent English communication; German a plus.

This position involves collaborating with international teams, including business trips to Germany every 3 months.

What You’ll Do:

• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and database improvements.

• Design and implement backend solutions integrating Java applications and database systems.

• Maintain and upgrade Java and Spring Boot applications.

• Contribute to the evolution of a cloud-native platform running on AWS.

• Collaborate in the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience inJavaandSpring Bootdevelopment.

• Advanced knowledge ofSQLand relational databases, preferablyPostgreSQL/AWS Aurora.

• Experience optimizing database performance and writing complex SQL queries.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures andKafka.

• Experience working with cloud and DevOps technologies such asAWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability environments.

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Strong communication skills inEnglish; German is a plus.
