Kureos busca un ingeniero Backend/Platform para liderar la infraestructura de datos y servicios backend. Colaborarás para conectar aplicaciones, datos e infraestructura a lo largo de la organización, con un enfoque práctico y orientado a resolver problemas complejos.

El rol es híbrido y podría requerir presencia dos días a la semana en las oficinas centrales de Madrid; se valora experiencia en energía o trading y dominio de cloud en Azure.

Formación

• 7+ years de experiencia profesional en ingeniería de software.
• Experiencia en desarrollo backend con Python, C# o Java.
• Experiencia con infraestructuras en la nube, preferiblemente Azure.
• Conocimientos de Kubernetes, CI/CD y prácticas DevOps modernas.
• Experiencia trabajando con bases de datos PostgreSQL.
• Comprensión de integración de datos, orquestación de flujos y sistemas distribuidos.
• Enfoque pragmático y analítico para resolver desafíos de ingeniería.
• Buenas habilidades de comunicación e influencia sobre stakeholders técnicos y de negocio.
• Fluido en inglés (C1 o superior); el español es ventajoso.

Responsabilidades

• Construir y evolucionar servicios backend, APIs y herramientas de la plataforma para equipos de datos e ingeniería.
• Diseñar servicios de integración e ingestión robustos entre aplicaciones, sistemas y almacenamiento.
• Desarrollar modelos de datos de alto rendimiento y soluciones de almacenamiento escalables y resilientes.
• Mejorar la calidad de datos, observabilidad, trazabilidad y fiabilidad de la plataforma.
• Traducir necesidades de negocio en diseños técnicos claros y soluciones sostenibles.
• Trabajar con equipos de infraestructura en entornos cloud, provisioning y mantenimiento.
• Colaborar con interesados de tecnología y negocio para obtener resultados significativos.

Back-end / Platform Engineer - Trading Data Infrastructure

Join a high-impact technology team shaping the software and data infrastructure behind critical energy and trading processes. As a Backend Engineer / Platform Engineer, you’ll help build reliable, scalable services that connect applications, data and infrastructure across the organisation.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced backend engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, designing pragmatic solutions and working across the boundaries of software engineering, data platforms and cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Build and evolve backend services, APIs and platform tooling used by data and engineering teams.
• Design robust integration and ingestion services connecting applications, systems and storage.
• Develop performant data models and scalable, resilient storage solutions.
• Improve data quality, observability, lineage and platform reliability.
• Translate business needs into clear technical designs and sustainable solutions.
• Work closely with infrastructure teams on cloud environments, provisioning and maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and the business to deliver meaningful outcomes.

What you bring

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development skills in Python, C#, Java or a similar language.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, ideally Azure.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Working experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data integration, workflow orchestration and distributed systems.
• A pragmatic, analytical approach to complex engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (C1 or better); Spanish is advantageous.
• Experience in energy or trading is welcome, but not essential.
