What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Business Analyst - Credit Risk & Compliance for our specialized team, with the possibility of working remotely from anywhere in Spain.
Work location: 100% remote, within Spain.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00.
Mission and responsibilities:
- The Technology Business Analyst collaborates with business partners, integrators, developers, and testers to align technology solutions with business strategies. Demonstrates knowledge of the business area to resolve ongoing problems, promotes architectural consistency and usability standards, and assists with testing when needed.
- Facilitates business requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and develops necessary documentation.
- Develops clear, concise requirements for technical teams, minimizing ambiguity to reduce rework and errors.
- Identifies business needs and implications of changes, and may suggest alternative solutions.
- Works closely with technical team members to ensure requirements are accurately addressed and supports them during design and development.
- Validates solutions before deployment and manages the deployment lifecycle.
- Coordinates and participates in developing test plans and testing solutions.
- Understands tool logs and can run database queries to review bugs or data model changes.
- Depending on experience, may lead or assist with planning modules or entire areas.
- Collaborates with teams in Mexico and Spain and reports to delivery leads in Spain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
- Over 4 years of experience in IT banking domains.
- Experience with core banking applications and Risk & Compliance architectures (AML, Collections, credit risk decisioning).
- Knowledge of Agile / Lean methodologies.
- Experience translating business requirements into use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Experience with software delivery tools like Harness, Bamboo, Bitbucket.
- Ability to quantify resource needs and communicate project benefits.
- Strong risk assessment, problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to engage with developers and business partners to achieve outcomes.
Additional skills:
- Functional and technical knowledge relevant to the role.
- Effective communication of complex issues to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with diverse development, testing, and operations teams.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Experience in digital banking environments and projects, especially in core banking transformation.
- Knowledge of Risk and Compliance architectures, including credit bureau integrations, decision engines, AML tools, and collections systems.
- Understanding of business flows in these areas.
- Experience in digital banking, with a focus on high availability, performance, and online services.
