Job summary

Welocalize is seeking a native-level Azerbaijani speaker for a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme. The role combines evaluating a pre-release AI model in Azerbaijani with testing how the product performs on client devices, including a smartphone and smart glass.

You will work on-site in a secure Welocalize office and provide detailed issue reports. You should have native Azerbaijani fluency, comfort with iOS/Android, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Native-level or fully bilingual Azerbaijani, written and spoken, with a current feel for how the language is really used day-to-day—every day and technical.
• Confidence with a smartphone and a laptop, and comfort moving between iOS and Android.
• A sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality.
• The ability to work independently, follow a detailed test script and guideline, and explain an issue clearly in English.
• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus, though not essential if you bring the language skill and the attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-release AI model output in Azerbaijani and judge it on accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Test the Azerbaijani experience against the English one, confirm feature parity, and check handling of non-Latin script, diacritics, right-to-left text, and mixed-language input.
• Spot display problems and localization errors, such as misdated currency or untranslated strings.
• Write up issues clearly with steps to reproduce, device and OS details, locale, and build IDs; re-test after fixes.
• Share language-specific usability insights from a native speaker perspective.
• Work on-site in a private, secure Welocalize office area; remote work is not possible for this programme.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.
