The Role of Assistant Front Desk Agent

We are seeking an Assistant Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is central to the Front Office Department, focusing on assisting Front Desk Agents and ensuring guests enjoy a smooth arrival and departure experience. As the first and last impression of the hotel, this department carries significant responsibility. The main duties include:

1. Checking in guests efficiently and courteously, using guest names whenever possible, ensuring room requests, payment methods, and rates are correctly handled, and issuing keys.
2. Arranging luggage delivery to guest rooms.
3. Assisting in escorting guests to their rooms and explaining hotel facilities.
4. Checking guests out of the hotel.
5. Handling guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests, resolving complaints, and responding to inquiries about hotel services, events, directions, etc.
6. Using computer systems to check guests in and out, generate reports, and manage room assignments.
7. Responding to chat inquiries following company standards.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal Assistant Front Desk Agent will possess excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. They should have good problem-solving abilities and proficiency in hotel property management systems, with at least one year of experience in a similar front-of-house role. Knowledge of Opera is preferred. Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, is required. Applicants must have the legal right to work in Spain.
