Job summary

CAE is seeking a Test Project Engineer to support onboard software applications for the CF-18 fighter aircraft. You will develop requirements with the client, design test plans, and execute tests on avionics benches, simulators, and aircraft.

role involves identifying anomalies, supporting software qualification, and refining three onboard software applications. Expect collaboration with CF-18 pilots and multidisciplinary teams; on-site in Mirabel 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 0–2 years of professional experience preferred.
• Proficient in C and C++ programming.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across disciplines.
• Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support onboard software test projects for CF-18 avionics.
• Develop technical requirements with the client and test plans.
• Execute tests on benches, simulators, and aircraft environments.
• Identify anomalies and support software qualification before deployment.
• Collaborate with pilots and multidisciplinary teams; on-site in Mirabel 2–3 days/week.
