Mission
Your main mission as Avionics Test Engineer is to:
- Conduct testing activities of avionics equipment at various integration levels: unit, subsystem, and launch vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze technical documentation related to EGSE, test beds, and avionics equipment.
- Execute qualification and acceptance tests, including functional and environmental testing.
- Inspect and verify commercial-off-the-shelf avionics after reception, correlating results with supplier reports.
- Perform design verification testing for in-house developed avionics components.
- Conduct functional checks during assembly and integration processes using FAI methodology.
- Serve as the Avionics focal point during test campaigns of major assemblies.
- Coordinate with Production and AIT teams for test setup preparations.
- Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
- Troubleshoot avionics issues as needed.
- Prepare and release engineering documentation such as Test Reports and Non-Conformance Reports.
- Document testing processes and results thoroughly in review meetings.
Minimum Requirements
- Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical, Aerospace, Telecommunications, or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in avionics analysis and testing.
- Proficiency with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
- Ability to work independently, structured, results-oriented, and efficient in team coordination.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Desired Competencies
- Experience operating Electrical Ground Support Equipment.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, C++, MATLAB.
- Familiarity with ECSS, IPC, NASA, and MIL standards.
- Experience testing avionics hardware and environmental testing procedures.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing.
- Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in clean room and EPA environments.
- Previous experience with Launch Vehicles projects.
