Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Aviation Quality Assurance Manager for a hybrid role in Queenstown, ZA. You will establish, implement, and maintain a robust QMS to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards, leading QA staff and audits.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in aviation QA, including 3+ years in management, and strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100. You will drive continuous improvement and liaise with authorities and customers to uphold safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within aviation, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Deep knowledge of aviation quality standards, regulations, and QMS frameworks (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Proven experience in audits and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to fulfill on-site requirements in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA, with remote responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the QMS in accordance with aviation regulations and standards.
• Lead internal and external audits for compliance with QMS requirements.
• Oversee identification, documentation, and resolution of quality non-conformances.
• Develop and implement CAPA plans and corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and report quality metrics to senior management.
• Ensure quality documentation and procedures are up-to-date and compliant.
• Train and mentor QA staff on quality assurance principles and procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and customers on quality matters.
• Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Manage safety and quality aspects in a hybrid work setting.
