Qualifications

• Recognized technical qualification in Aviation Maintenance or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in aviation quality assurance within an MRO environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 and airworthiness requirements.
• Experience inspecting, auditing and managing non-conformities.
• Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, and regulatory documents.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable aviation maintenance organization, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This critical role involves ensuring that all maintenance activities and repairs performed on aircraft and components meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to verify adherence to approved data, technical specifications, and aviation authority regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance work performed by technicians.


• Verify that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved technical data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SACAA).


• Conduct audits of maintenance processes, facilities, and documentation to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.


• Review and approve maintenance records, work orders, and release certificates.


• Identify non-conformities and deviations from standards, initiating corrective action reports (CARs) and preventive action requests (PARs).


• Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of tools, equipment, and test instruments used in maintenance.


• Maintain accurate and organized inspection records and quality documentation.


• Stay current with relevant aviation regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.


• Participate in internal and external quality audits.

Requirements

• A recognized technical qualification in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.


• A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation quality assurance or a related technical role within an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment.


• Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100), and airworthiness requirements.


• Experience in performing inspections, audits, and managing non-conformities.


• Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and regulatory documents.
