A dynamic and specialized law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Aircraft Lawyer to join its legal team. The successful candidate will support high-volume transactional work involving airlines, lessors, financiers, and manufacturers. This role is key in the firm's primary legal division, handling a large volume of work, providing legal execution, risk control, and client support.

As a Commercial Aircraft Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing complex, high-value aviation transactions. Your tasks will include drafting and negotiating operating lease and finance lease agreements, sale & leaseback agreements, wet lease and dry lease agreements, maintenance contracts, novation, assignment, and sublease agreements, executing letters of intent, and coordinating conditions precedent processes.

You will also supervise aircraft registrations and deregistrations before various registries, support aircraft finance transactions, participate in due diligence, asset tracking, and compliance audits, and develop proficiency in drafting and negotiation of aircraft lease and sale contracts, legal framework for aviation assets and aircraft as movable property, Cape Town Convention compliance, international guarantee enforcement, national and international aircraft registry operations, regulatory compliance under EASA, AESA, and applicable Spanish aviation law, basic understanding of aircraft financing structures, guarantees, and default procedures, coordination of documentation for complex multi-jurisdictional transactions, familiarity with regulatory developments affecting commercial aviation and leasing markets, and awareness of environmental and sustainability-related compliance.

To be successful in this role, you must have a Law Degree from a recognized and reputable university, English fluency (C1+ written and oral) is mandatory, and additional languages highly valued, particularly French, German, or others relevant to international aviation. You should demonstrate structured, dependable, and precise contract execution, detail-oriented with strong organizational habits, calm under pressure, able to handle multiple files in parallel, comfortable working in a team-based structure, proactive, service-minded, and focused on quality outcomes, high standards of discretion, confidentiality, and client professionalism.

This is a permanent position with a trial period of 6 months, competitive fixed gross annual salary based on experience and qualifications, variable compensation available linked to performance and contribution, and location in Madrid, offering a vibrant, international environment with a high quality of life, excellent infrastructure, and an expanding professional legal community.
