ALG is a leading global consultancy team with 35 years of professional experience working alongside the top players in the transport sector (operators, infrastructure developers, and investors), advising them on strategic, capacity, infrastructure, and operational challenges.

Currently, we are looking for a Consultant in Aviation to join our team in Barcelona or Madrid.

Your role

As a Consultant, you will be part of one of the top transport and infrastructure consulting companies, potentially becoming an industry-leading subject matter expert or a trusted advisor to senior client management on a wide range of issues.

You will be responsible for :

• Defining digitalization / automation strategies for operations or specific business processes
• Developing artificial intelligence / machine learning algorithms that add value to our customers
• Performing advanced analytics to support operational and strategic consulting projects
• Supporting the definition and implementation of big data architectures for cloud environments

Our digital team collaborates on projects across various transportation modes, working closely with other practices within the organization (operations, strategy, etc.) to provide clients with best-in-class recommendations. The team also develops purely Big Data and Data Science projects, from cloud architecture to creating complex machine learning algorithms to enhance client business.

This team is transversal across all transportation modes, with members potentially specializing in one or multiple modes.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Master's degree from a top-tier university, preferably in Aeronautical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science. An MIM is desirable.
• Experience in Big Data / Data Science is desirable and required:
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Matlab, Scala, C++, or Java, with eagerness to learn more
• Experience with Big Data architectures, especially in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP, is desirable
• Coursework or experience in machine learning and database management is desirable but not mandatory
• Transportation consultancy experience is desirable but not required
• High self-reliance and work capacity
• Fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written); knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Availability to travel
• Enthusiasm and dedication for transport consultancy
