Matchmatch in Madrid is seeking an engineer with a strong mathematical and algorithmic background to own the guidance and control of autonomous robotic systems. The role focuses on design, development, and validation of algorithms for real hardware in dynamic environments.

You will work across trajectory generation, optimal control, state estimation, and integration with perception and embedded teams to deliver robust autonomous performance.

Qualifications

• Strong background in applied mathematics, control theory, algorithms or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience developing guidance, control, trajectory planning or optimization algorithms.
• Solid understanding of optimal control and the math behind dynamic systems.
• Strong Python programming skills and ability to translate math into working algorithms.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C++ or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently on complex mathematical and engineering problems.
• Interest in algorithms for real autonomous systems, beyond theory.
• Comfortable working in English within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and improve guidance and autonomy algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Work on trajectory generation, planning and optimization under dynamics constraints.
• Develop and implement optimal control using classical or modern methods.
• Contribute to state estimation and navigation using sensor information.
• Build, test and refine algorithms in simulation before real hardware.
• Collaborate with robotics, perception and embedded engineers for integration.
• Own algorithms from formulation to prototyping, testing and improvement.
